New York Governor Kathy Hochul has introduced a $12-million initiative to assist improvement and demonstration of progressive options that advance the adoption of EVs and their integration with the electrical grid, in addition to novel demonstrations of medium- and heavy-duty electrical and hydrogen gasoline cell applied sciences.

The initiative is designed to assist meet the state’s targets of transitioning to zero-emission autos by 2035, reaching a zero-emission electrical energy sector by 2040 and decreasing emissions 85% by 2050.

This system is run by the New York State Power Analysis and Improvement Authority.
